Test

The following describes the process and methodology used to test the performance of Peachtree by Sage - Quantum 2009 compared to QuickBooks® Enterprise 2008. The tests were conducted at Sage Software, by Sage Software employees during March of 2008. The Concurrency Test evaluated the performance of transaction and maintenance save times plus report open times. Tests reflect the recommended hardware and software configurations for Peachtree Quantum, which also satisfies the recommended hardware and software configurations for QuickBooks Enterprise 2008.

Test Scenario

The purpose of this test is to validate performance and concurrency of Peachtree Quantum, as compared to QuickBooks Enterprise, based on defined user workloads.

All machines have a designated set of work (30 activities) to complete during the test. Average of 60 seconds between each activity per machine. Wait times are distributed to various locations during each activity. The test was conducted 3 times to ensure accuracy in the data tracking.
